Through the Ages is a civilization building game. The goal is to develop your civilization, not to destroy others. Military force is only one aspect of your nation, such as population, production or science. It`s up to you to decide what you`re focusing on more or less, but you shouldn`t rehabilitate as you build your civilization. Victory is achieved by the player whose nation produces the most culture during the match. However, there are many ways to produce culture: through religion, literature or drama, through the construction of miracles, through the use of cultural people, etc. War or aggression can also win an important part of the culture. The game is about building a civilization, including urban buildings, governments, population, resource productions, army, etc. By drawing and buying maps, players take their civilizations through 4 ages – beginning with classical antiquity and ending in modern times. The game has lined up for more than 5 years in the top 5 board games at Brettspiel Geek. On March 26, 2018, a digital version of the game (similar to the app) was released on Steam. Wars, pacts, tactics, events, all use them carefully so that the flood turns at any time. These intrepid personalities bring new mechanisms and strategies to the table, and let choose a guide that matches their own plans and style of play.
